About VERC

Preparing Veteran Entrepreneurs for Success.

At VERC we believe every successful business begins with preparation.

The Veteran Entrepreneur Resource Collaborative (VERC) was founded to help veterans, military spouses, transitioning service members, retirees, and aspiring entrepreneurs build businesses with confidence.

Our mission is to provide practical education, structured assessments, and trusted resources that help entrepreneurs make informed decisions before investing time, money, and energy into their next opportunity.

Whether you're starting your first business, pursuing government contracts, expanding internationally, or exploring life beyond U.S. borders, VERC provides the guidance and tools to help you move forward with purpose.

Our Mission

To equip veteran entrepreneurs with the knowledge, systems, and confidence needed to build successful businesses, pursue new opportunities, and create lasting economic independence.

Our Vision

To become the leading educational platform for veteran entrepreneurship, business readiness, and global opportunity by connecting practical education with trusted experts, innovative technology, and a worldwide network of partners.

What Makes VERC Different

Preparation Before Commitment.

Many organizations focus on helping entrepreneurs after they have already made important business decisions.

VERC focuses on helping you make better decisions before you commit.

We believe preparation reduces risk, saves time, and creates stronger businesses.

Our programs are built around structured readiness assessments, practical education, business planning, and action-oriented learning designed for veterans and military families.

Our Educational Philosophy

Prepare. Decide. Succeed.

We believe education should produce action. Every assessment, course, guide, and workshop is designed to help entrepreneurs answer three questions:

1

Where do I stand today?

2

What should I do next?

3

Who can help me succeed?

About the Founder

Jerome Fisher

Founder, VERC

Jerome is a retired U.S. Army officer, disabled veteran, entrepreneur, and former federal employee with decades of leadership experience in military operations, international logistics, federal service, and business development. He holds an MBA and has dedicated his career to helping organizations improve performance, solve complex operational challenges, and build sustainable systems.

His international experience began during several years of military service in Panama, where he lived and worked in multiple locations, supported logistics operations, and developed an appreciation for the opportunities and challenges of living abroad. During Operation Safe Haven, he served as the Officer in Charge of the 5th Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment S4 section, overseeing logistics support for Camp 4 during one of the U.S. military's largest humanitarian operations in the region.

His assignments also included service in Belize, where he participated in military training exchanges and planning missions with the Belize Defence Force, providing firsthand experience working alongside partner nations in Central America. Later, he served with the U.S. Central Command forward headquarters in Qatar, gaining additional experience supporting operations in the Middle East.

Following military service, Jerome worked in Kabul, Afghanistan, as a government contractor in a multinational environment supporting communications and media operations while collaborating with military personnel, journalists, technicians, local Afghan professionals, and international partners.

Today, he combines military leadership, business strategy, global experience, and modern technology to help veteran entrepreneurs evaluate opportunities, prepare for international business and relocation decisions, and build successful lives beyond U.S. borders.
